Red Tractor, otherwise known as “Assured Food Standards” is a scheme based in the UK and founded in 2000, focusing on food safety and quality.
The scheme is written to incorporate three main pillars:
- Food Safety
- Environmental Protection
Food which is sold at retail bearing the Red Tractor logo has been grown, transported and processed by scheme members, and regular checks are made on all scheme members to ensure standards are being upheld.
Red Tractor produce is wholly produced in the UK, and includes fresh produce, dairy produce, poultry, pork, beef and lamb and arable crops.
4R Reassurance provides continual compliance support and guidance to Red Tractor assured farmers.
